Shameless Cadging For Votes

The Crescat blog is hosting the 2009 Cannonball Catholic blog awards.  Many very fine blogs have been nominated including Pro Ecclesia, Thoughts of A Regular Guy, The Cranky Conservative and Southern Appeal.  What?  Why I hadn’t noticed this before!   American Catholic has been nominated in two categories:   best political…not American Papist, and Best New Kid On The Block.  I know it will disappoint a few of our readers, but apparently we were not nominated in the Bat (Censored) Crazy category.  Personally I despise awards and view them as completely meaningless—until I win the award of course.  Any readers who might care to view the Crescat site, and, I don’t know, do something there like vote, just press here.

Like a Democrat, I’m voting as often as I can.

  2. Donna V. says:

Now, Don, you’re from Illinois, surely you can get a few deceased Catholics to vote for you. After all, if they were in a position to vote, they would surely cast a vote for The American Catholic. You’re just empowering those without a voice in today’s society. (Think ACORN will give me a job?)

I voted for youse guys, but not before admiring the photo of the handsome fel- er, the fine uniform worn by the Swiss Guard. I am obliged to admit that I have noticed the Swiss Guard are a rather photogenic lot.

  3. Donald R. McClarey says:

Now Donna how could I get deceased Catholics to vote? (Hmmm, some laptops, a trip to the cemetary, maybe it can be done!)

  4. Tito Edwards says:

Why bother with the cemetery when you can visit your local ACORN office where they have all the names of the deceased in alphabetical order ready for you!

  5. Donald R. McClarey says:

I know Tito! I’ll start a rival organization to Acorn from the right called Mustard Seed!
