Stupak: ObamaCare Short 16 Votes In The House

Tuesday, March 16, 2010 \AM\.\Tue\.

Bart Stupak, my favorite Democrat in Congress, said last night that the Dem leadership are 16 votes shy in the House on passing ObamaCare.  His tally coincides with a tally I have been keeping.  I got this story from The Hill.  The quote from the story is hilarious in conveying the absolute contempt most denizens of the mainstream media have for the pro-life cause, and their inability or unwillingness to even pretend to be objective on the issue:

Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) said Monday he thinks House Democratic leaders are not close to having the votes to pass health reform.

“In an interview with Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren, the anti-abortion rights lawmaker said, “I’d be surprised if they have 200 votes.”

House Democratic leaders need 216 to pass the bill.”

Hattip to Taxprof Blog. Rough language warning, but what else can one expect from Hitler?  I didn’t really believe that one of my law professors was the actual Adolf Hitler.  Now a Hitler clone on the other hand…
